Frequently Asked Questions

If you have questions not answered here, please send a message using the form below!

Who can attend these retreats?

Retreats will always be marked on the website as to what audience they are intended for. We plan to offer women's, men's, co-ed, and teen retreats.

Within that audience, all are welcome. All you need is a desire to journey within yourself and to be open to what you find. We find most people who attend are those seeking purpose, clarity, authenticity, and/or connection to something greater than them.

What can I expect on a retreat?

We ease into retreats, starting out by getting to know each other, entering into a retreat mindset, and introducing the topic. From there, we offer a mix of large group, small group, and individual activities. We use a variety of activity types, such as journaling, creative activities, silence, light physical activity, discussion, and more. Longer retreats include free time for reflection or whatever you need in the moment. We end with a closing reflection and ceremony.

How does food work at a retreat?

Currently all overnight retreats are held at a facility with a dining hall, and meals are provided by the facility at set times. Beverages and snacks are available throughout your stay. We ask about dietary needs during registration and will ensure those are met. Daytime retreats might include light refreshments or a catered meal.

What are my guide's credentials?

Jennifer completed a reatreat facilitator training course with Karen Ely, an experienced women's retreat facilitator. She is currently enrolled in a university certificate program for spiritual direction. She has attended many retreats, both spiritual and secular, and has planned and run many events for girls and women as a longtime Girl Scout volunteer and Cursillo member. She began offering daytime retreats of her own in January 2024 and weekend retreats in October 2024.

Some retreats will include partners with training in specific activities. Partners will be introduced on pages for individual retreats.
